LCVT returns to GroundsFest 2026 with award-winning vehicle concept

The LCVT Grounds Maintenance Side Tipping Beavertail has proved enormously popular since its official launch at last year’s GroundsFest, where it’s groundbreaking design in a number of key areas was recognised by being awarded the Innovation Award at the show.

The vehicle concept was conceived following feedback from vehicle operators who had a desire to move away from all the challenges that towing a trailer caused them on a daily basis but needed greater all year-round utilisation than a 3,500kg beavertail vehicle offered them.

From the above conversations and input from a leading figure in the sector Angus Lindsay, LCVT produced the first prototype vehicle which resulted in the vehicle launch last year.

The design not only offers a vehicle which can in the summer months move commercial mowers and other equipment to site, while taking grass cuttings away for disposal, but in the winter period be used to collect general waste ensuring all year-round utilisation.

For GroundsFest 2026 the vehicle will be on display with further innovations including removable mesh sides to allow in the summer months the full payload capabilities of the vehicle to be recognised, while in the winter period the mesh side itself pivots on the top frame allowing waste to be carried safely and tipped easily when required.
