The Berthoud Vermorel is an ergonomic, professional knapsack designed and built in France by Hozelock Exel for spraying in large areas, lawns, orchards and other areas that may need a herbicide, fungicide, insecticide, biostimulant or seaweed spray.
The Vermorel 1800 holds 16L held by adjustable padded straps that are anchored onto a backframe that provides immense support for the user while holding the tank away from the back making it more comfortable to use. The frame also provides an easy carry handle.
The pump handle is adjustable for left/ right handed operators and is spring-loaded so returns to the top position with no input making spraying jobs that little bit easier. When not in use, the handle can be moved to an upright ‘transport’ position reducing the chance of accidental damage in storage or vehicles.
The ‘Profile’ trigger is easy to hold over long periods and features an integral filter. The composite lance is 60cm long and the knapsack is provided with a hollow cone nozzle but the fittings are a universal size for all Berthoud and 3rd party nozzles. The Vermorel 1800 comes with a 1 Bar pressure regulator valve that fits after the trigger - in front of the lance to ensure a consistent width of spray.
Berthoud has a number of spare parts but a professional guarantee of 5 years applies while the Viton seals as standard are highly resistant to a wide variety of chemical types. Numerous accessories can be added to the knapsack, such as a spray shield to reduce spray drift, telescopic lances in various lengths and a Comfort harness that replicates a full-body padded harness of professional climbing backpacks – making spray jobs just that bit more comfy and less taxing.
